Apple Spinach Smoothie

The blend of apple, spinach, and yogurt makes a rich, savory smoothie recipe. A touch of honey is just enough to balance the flavors without throwing off your blood sugar.

1 small apple, cored and chopped
2 packed cups baby spinach (2 ounces)
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/3 cup unsweetened apple juice or orange juice
2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup ice cubes

Combine all ingredients except ice cubes in a blender; purée until smooth. Add ice cubes; purée until smooth

another my fav recipe:

 Apple-Lemon

2 apples
1/2 lemon juiced
2 cups fresh baby spinach (or other leafy green)
1 whole carrot
1/2 cup of water

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

After you workout, whether you are doing cardio or strength training, your body loses some of its nutrients and your muscles have micro-tears. It is important to restore your body’s balance with the proper foods after an intense workout to prevent muscle soreness and increase your results. It also helps my energy:-) I personally think smoothies are better than solid food because it is easier for your body to digest and will get into your system faster.

Here is the recipe of my fav. smoothie to drink after a workout:

Ingredients:

6 large strawberries
1 banana
1 cup of whole milk
 1/2 cup raw spinach

Directions:
Just blend all ingredients till smoothy texture is formed and all fruits well blended. That’s it! You’re ready to drink it casually at home, or take it to go if you’re on the run  :D
